Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the artickle platform: the web application at app.artickle.sa, our iOS and Android applications, and the related services we provide to schools, teachers, parents and students. Please read them before you use the platform.
These Terms cover the platform, not the price of lessons. Tuition fees, deposits, invoicing dates, cancellation windows, make-up lessons, refunds and termination notice are set out in the separate enrolment agreement between you and the school or academy you enrol with. Where the two documents differ on a commercial matter, your enrolment agreement governs.
1. Who we are
The artickle platform is operated by Artventure Company, a limited liability company registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Unified National Number 7050584742, with its registered office at:
Building 3028, Abi Saleh Al Jaily Street
Al Sulaimaniyah District, Unit 7938
Riyadh 12245, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
In these Terms, we, us, our and artickle mean Artventure Company. artickle is the trading name under which we provide the platform and the lesson services described here. You means the person using the platform, whether as a teacher, a parent, a student, a school administrator or an employee of ours.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Platform | The artickle web application, mobile applications, and any related service, API or communication we provide. |
| School | An academy, school or institution that has an agreement with artickle and whose students receive lessons through the platform. |
| Teacher | An instructor engaged by artickle and assigned to deliver lessons, including at a School. |
| Student | A person enrolled to receive lessons, whether a minor or an adult. |
| Parent | A parent or legal guardian responsible for a Student who is a minor. |
| Enrolment agreement | The separate commercial agreement covering fees, scheduling, attendance, refunds and termination for a Student's lessons. |
| Content | Anything submitted to the platform, including lesson notes, evaluations, comments, photographs, signatures and uploaded files. |
3. What artickle is
artickle engages teachers and assigns them to deliver music and arts education, including at partner schools. The platform is the system of record for that activity. Through it we schedule lessons, record attendance and evaluations, produce progress reports and certificates, manage enrolments, and handle invoicing to schools and payment of teachers.
A teacher is engaged by artickle and may be assigned to one or more schools. A teacher is not an employee of the school they teach at unless that school says otherwise in its own agreement.
Access to the platform is provided in connection with a lesson relationship. It is not a standalone subscription product, and we do not charge individual users a fee for the software itself.
4. Eligibility and accounts
Accounts on artickle are issued by invitation. You cannot create an account for yourself without an invitation from artickle or from a school administrator, except where you register through a public enrolment form we have published for a specific school.
- You must give accurate, current and complete information when you accept an invitation or complete a registration form, and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any linked sign-in method secure, and for everything done through your account.
- Do not share your account or your credentials with anyone else. Each person who needs access should have their own account.
- Tell us immediately at info@artickle.sa if you believe someone else has used your account.
You may sign in with an email and password, with a one time code sent to your email, or with a linked Google account. Signing in with Google does not by itself grant you any role on the platform; your access still comes from the invitation or enrolment that created your record.
5. Minors and parental consent
Many artickle students are children. We treat student age seriously and the platform separates adult students from minors at the point of enrolment.
- Where a Student is a minor, the account relationship is with the Parent. The Parent enrols the child, accepts these Terms on the child's behalf, and is responsible for the child's use of any access we grant.
- Where a Student is an adult, the Student holds their own account and accepts these Terms directly. No parent account is created.
- A minor may be given limited access to view their own lessons and progress. That access is granted at the Parent's discretion and can be withdrawn by the Parent or by the school at any time.
- We do not knowingly allow a child to create an account without a Parent. If you believe a child has an account without parental consent, contact us and we will remove it.
Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their child outside lesson time, including drop off and collection at a school's premises.
6. Roles and what each can see
What you can see on artickle depends on your role. Access is enforced in our database, not only in the interface, and is limited to what your role needs.
| Role | Typically sees |
|---|---|
| Teacher | Their own schedule, their own students, the lessons they teach, their own pay and earnings. |
| Parent | Their own children's lessons, attendance, progress reports and certificates. |
| Student | Their own lessons, attendance and progress. |
| School administrator | Their own school's students, lessons, schedule and the amounts their school is charged. |
| artickle administrator | Platform wide access needed to operate the service. |
Teacher pay rates are visible only to artickle and to the teacher concerned. What a school is charged is visible only to artickle and to that school's administrators. You must not attempt to view, infer or extract data belonging to another role, another school or another family.
7. Your responsibilities
If you are a teacher, you agree to record lessons honestly and promptly, to give evaluations that reflect the lesson as it happened, and to treat everything you learn about a student and their family as confidential.
If you are a parent or student, you agree to keep contact details current, to raise scheduling and attendance issues through the platform or with your school, and to use progress reports and certificates only for their intended purpose.
If you are a school administrator, you agree to use the platform only for your own school's activity, to keep your administrator list current, and to tell us promptly when a member of your staff should no longer have access.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Anti Cyber Crime Law;
- attempt to access an account, a school, a record or a part of the platform you have not been given access to;
- probe, scan, penetration test or interfere with the platform or its security, or attempt to bypass any access control or rate limit;
- scrape, harvest, bulk export or systematically copy data from the platform, other than by using an export feature we provide for that purpose;
- upload anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- upload malicious code, or anything designed to disrupt the platform or another user's device;
- misrepresent who you are, or impersonate another user, a teacher, a school or artickle;
- use the platform to send unsolicited marketing to other users;
- resell, sublicense or make the platform available to any third party.
We may investigate suspected breaches, and we log administrative actions on the platform for that purpose.
9. Content you provide
You keep ownership of the Content you submit. By submitting Content you grant artickle a non exclusive, royalty free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt and display it for the purpose of operating the platform and delivering the service, including generating reports, certificates, invoices and payroll records, and sharing it with the people whose role entitles them to see it.
You confirm that you have the right to submit the Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
Photographs and recordings
Teachers may upload a professional photograph for their profile and teaching materials. Where a photograph or recording of a student is used for publicity or promotional purposes, we will seek the express permission of the adult student, or of the Parent where the student is a minor, and that permission can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.
Signatures
Teachers provide a signature during onboarding. That signature is applied to progress reports and certificates issued in their name, and to their acceptance of the agreements we present during onboarding. You agree that a signature captured in this way, and an acceptance recorded against a specific version of a document, are valid and binding, consistent with the Kingdom's Electronic Transactions Law.
10. AI assisted features
Parts of the platform use artificial intelligence to help staff write. A teacher's lesson notes can be rewritten for clarity, and a draft progress report can be generated from the lesson history a teacher has already recorded.
AI output is always a draft. It is clearly marked in the interface, and no AI generated report or certificate reaches a parent or student until a human at artickle has reviewed and approved it. The teacher and artickle remain responsible for the final content.
AI features are provided through a third party model provider. Content sent to that provider is processed to produce the output and is not used by us to train any model. If you would prefer a report to be written without AI assistance, tell your school administrator or contact us.
11. Records, reports and certificates
Progress reports and certificates are issued by artickle in connection with lessons actually delivered and recorded on the platform. A certificate becomes valid when it is approved and issued by artickle. An unapproved draft has no standing, and we may correct or withdraw a document that was issued in error.
Lesson records, invoices and payroll records are business records. They are retained as described in our Privacy Policy and are not deleted at a user's request. See section 16.
12. Communications
We communicate with you by email and in app notification. Some messages are part of the service and cannot be switched off, because you need them: sign in and password messages, invitations, invoices, schedule changes and other transactional notices.
Optional messages, such as reminders, digests and any marketing, are under your control. You can change what you receive in your account notification settings, or use the unsubscribe link in the message. Withdrawing consent to marketing does not affect transactional messages.
13. Availability and changes
We work to keep the platform available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons, and we will give notice where it is reasonable to do so.
We may add, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces a feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
14. Intellectual property
The platform, its software, design, the artickle name and logo, and the templates used for reports and certificates are owned by Artventure Company or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
You are given a limited, personal, non transferable, revocable right to use the platform for its intended purpose while your relationship with artickle or a school lasts. Documents we generate for you, such as your child's report or your own certificate, are yours to keep and use for personal, academic and professional purposes.
15. Privacy and data protection
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Implementing Regulations.
16. Ending your account
You can stop using artickle at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from the Account screen in the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your sign in credentials: your password, any linked Google account, and your active sessions. You will be signed out and will not be able to sign in again.
What is kept. Deleting your account does not erase the school's business records. Lessons taught and attended, enrolments, invoices, payments, payroll records, issued reports and issued certificates are retained for as long as we are required to keep them, including under the Kingdom's tax, accounting and commercial record keeping rules. Your name and email remain on the records you are named on or authored, because those records belong to the school and to us as evidence of the service delivered and amounts charged. If you want your contact details removed beyond this, or you believe a record is being kept longer than it needs to be, write to our privacy contact and we will review the request under the Personal Data Protection Law. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting your account does not end an enrolment or cancel amounts already owed. If you are withdrawing a student from lessons, follow the notice process in your enrolment agreement with the school.
17. Suspension by us
We may suspend or withdraw your access if you breach these Terms, if your relationship with artickle or with a school ends, if we are required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your account is being misused or presents a risk to other users. Where the reason allows it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.
18. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an as is and as available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not give any warranty that the platform will be error free, uninterrupted, or fit for a purpose you have not told us about.
We do not guarantee a particular educational outcome, examination result or grade. Progress reports reflect a teacher's professional judgement at a point in time.
We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property brought to a school's premises, or for anything that happens on premises we do not operate. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
19. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, artickle is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss of data that we could not reasonably have foreseen.
Where we are liable, our total liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve month period is limited to the total amount paid to artickle in respect of the relevant student's lessons in that period, or SAR 5,000 if no amount was paid.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Saudi law.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify artickle against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the platform, or Content you submitted that you were not entitled to submit.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version is always published at terms.artickle.sa with its version number and date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will give notice by email or in app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
22. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most issues are resolved quickly and directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably within 30 days, it will be submitted to the competent courts of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
23. General
- If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business, without reducing your rights.
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any enrolment or teaching agreement you have signed, together form the whole agreement between us.
- These Terms are published in English. If we later publish an Arabic translation, we will say at that point which language governs.
